To have and to Pinterest

As you know, September of this year will change my life forever. I am marrying my best friend, the most AMAZING person that I know, and I am so FREAKING excited!
I have this strong feeling that I, like the other billion people in the world, drool over the cute little inspirations on pinterest every day. I am a certified pinterest drooler and creeper, even at work. ( I shouldn't but it calls me  by my full name on an hourly basis) However, while wiping my mouth I saw a cute little wedding decoration but didn't want to pay the HUGE price tag.

I thought to myself after much debating, I can make this or my own versions.  So this past saturday, after meeting with the baker, I decided it was time to get my glue gun  out and hope for the best.

I found everything that I needed at Joann Fabrics and used the 15% off coupon

*Burlap Garland- I bought two so I could have extra and I ended up only using half of 1 ( 30 feet per roll)
*Antique White Acrylic Paint
* Thin light natural color jute
*Angled foam pain brush
*Ruler Mat
*Printed letters (MS Word)
*Hot Glue Gun ( My Worst Enemy)

I decided I would make banners that says We Do, We Did, and Love Is Sweet. I measured and cut the burlap 6 inches long for each letter then laid the purlap on top of the printed letter and painted the copy on the burlap.

After repeating this process for what felt like 8 hours I have all of the letters painted and the heart done.

I let the letters dry for about 2-3 hours, while I watched tv and hung out with my cat for the afternoon.

After everything was dried completely I then flipped each letter over and hot glued the flap over leaving enough space for me to thread the jute through. ( I apologize,  by this time it was 9 at night and my STBH was home and watching a  movie that I felt I needed to watch to so I didnt take any pictures)

After the jute was threaded through  the loops I hung the sign up to look at my masterpiece.

This is not perfect however I think that is what makes this a perfect sign. its something that not only are we going to be able to have in our future home for years to come but is also something that we can say was made with love to show our love.
